So I’ll be celebrating my big 30 (and coincidentally my Mom’s, aka Mimi’s, big 60) in Vegas BABY. It’s about 30 days around the corner and here are a couple of tid-bits to chew on.
- I have never once been to Vegas, Mimi’s been “more times than she can remember”!
- I am being told I need to participate in life threatening rides such as these, in which I’ll be literally hanging off the side of a building.
- My Dad, PawPaw, is dead set on a helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon and I’m definitely down with that.
- I’ve heard the shows are good, but am not sure I’m a show kind of girl.
- I love Black Jack, DOUBLE DOWN.
I am open to suggestions on how you think I should celebrate the third decade of my existence. One thing I am also really is excited about is that 30 is the new 16.

Dude! I”m doing 40 in Vegas in August, which by your math I declare is the new 24. I’m good with that.
I won’t see you at the BlackJack table, but you are WELCOME to join me at the craps table. And the premium outlet mall. Just sayin’.

Court– the Stratosphere rides are AWESOME. Definitely do the Big Shot, but you could skip the one that looks like Insanity. If you have time, go to Thunder Down Under at the Excalibur– hot, Aussie babes dancing in thongs = amazing. My mom loved it too, but it can be a little raunchy.
Also– don’t waste your time watching the Treasure Island show– it’s dumb, crowded, and not worth the time/energy it takes to get there. Have fun!

While I don’t know anything about Vegas (sad), I do know a whole lot about being 16. Yay for you! Maybe you can spot some celebrities? Haha, i’ve got nothing. Have fun!
