G Harvey is an artist that my Mom fell in love with when she briefly worked for an interior design company in my hometown, and the love for his work has slowly grabbed onto me and now won’t let go!
He is Texas-born and raised artist that captures America in the 1800′s by painting both vivid westerns and beautiful city scenes. The paintings above are a few of my favorites that can be found at either mine or my parents house. (BTW, I’m patiently waiting for my parents to run out of wall space for their collection of paintings, which could seriously happen SOON, and they could send some more of these beauties my way….just sayin’….hint, hint…)
- Spooked: My all time FAVORITE painting. When you see this in person, the lightening looks like it is so real, it gives you chills the first time you see it.
- Cowboy Gathering: Just a really neat painting that is my parents latest investment.
- Springtime in New York: This is one of the two paintings that I splurged and bought for my husband and I because I fell in love with the Flat Iron building on a visit to NYC, and this depiction of it coming out of the fog was more than a perfect souvenir of the trip.
- In My Father’s Presence: I invested in this one as a tribute to my husbands late father. His favorite memory of him was going fishing when he was young so I could not bypass this when I finally found it.
- Lone Star State: There’s a GREAT story to how my Mom acquired this canvas, and if you e-mail me, I MIGHT share it with you!
- A Breakfast Out: This was a wedding gift from my parents, and my first G Harvey painting, and it looks fabulous in my entry hall.

Tour de Casa: Sarah
