So friends, should I take my activity center back and get a bouncer? What will the baby like/use more do you think?

New Year, New Workouts? http://tipsysociety.com/2011/01/new-year-new-workouts/ http://tipsysociety.com/2011/01/new-year-new-workouts/#comments Tue, 04 Jan 2011 16:00:16 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=6795 I’m the type of person that has to constantly change up my workout routine because, well lets be honest, I get BORED! Some of the workouts I tried and loved in 2010 include:

  1. Bootcamp; by far my favorite workout of the year because everyday is something different!
  2. No More Trouble Zones; this was a good “I don’t feel like going to the gym” workout.
  3. Reformer Pilates; Not a huge cardio workout, but GREAT for strength training.
  4. Bickram Yoga; I only did this a couple of times because it was so dang TOUGH, but I think this should be my go to in 2011 to help sweat off the baby weight.

So, I put a question mark next to the title of this post because I’m interested to see if there’s a new workout that I need to know about and/or try!?!?!? It seems that every year there’s a huge fad, and I’m not above jumping on a bandwagon…

Ancient Cookie Cutters http://tipsysociety.com/2010/12/ancient-cookie-cutters/ Thu, 02 Dec 2010 12:00:17 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=6410 I stumbled across these Hebrew alphabet cookie cutters while trying to find my (always hard to shop for has everything) Aunt, something for Christmas. Although we’re not Jewish, my Aunt likes everyday things that are a little off the beaten path, and the Hebrew language is rooted in so many facets of our culture…so if anyone of your list is a) hard to buy for and b) remotely spiritual, these could be the perfect gift!

Cook Bookin’ It http://tipsysociety.com/2010/11/cook-bookin-it/ http://tipsysociety.com/2010/11/cook-bookin-it/#comments Tue, 30 Nov 2010 16:00:20 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=6383 I’ll be the first to admit, I own a lot of cookbooks and I RARELY use any of them to cook! However, that doesn’t mean I don’t love getting them and dreaming of all the items I COULD be making.

My latest Bon Appetit magazine had a list of the top cookbooks of the year and here are a few that I wouldn’t mind adding to my collection!

  1. Time for Dinner: Strategies, Inspiration, and Recipes for Family Meals Every Night of the Week
  2. Forgotten Skills of Cooking
  3. Bon Appetit Desserts: The Cookbook for all things Sweet and Wonderful
  4. The Frankies Spuntino Kitchen Companion & Cooking Manual

Preventing Marks http://tipsysociety.com/2010/11/preventing-marks/ http://tipsysociety.com/2010/11/preventing-marks/#comments Wed, 10 Nov 2010 16:00:07 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=6159 Stretch marks that is. I am growing by the day, and although I have been using a stretch mark prevention cream, I’m curious if there’s anything out that that I HAVE to use….

What did you use when you were preggers, and, did it work?

  1. Bella B Tummy Honey Butter
  2. Revitol Stretch Mark Prevention Cream (This is what I have been using.)
  3. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark Cream
  4. Clinique CX Stretch Mark Cream
  5. Mederma Cream Stretch Mark Therapy
