Dream Team: Loreal Style http://tipsysociety.com/2011/04/dream-team-loreal-style/ Thu, 21 Apr 2011 19:00:15 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=8216 A little bit ago, Melis introduced us to this little pot of magic.  I will say, it works great.  I thought it couldn’t get any better until I found this Loreal Magic Smooth Souffle.

It’s give the smoothest, weightless finish that  I have ever had with any primer/foundation combo.  A couple of drawbacks:

  1. The pot.  I hate swiping my fingers in a pot, getting the dirty, etc.
  2. It’s so light, it needs reapplication if you have evening plans.

All of this considered it’s definitely worth the 11 dollar drugstore investment and is the perfect pair with Melis’ previous primer.

Do You Believe In Magic? http://tipsysociety.com/2011/03/do-you-believe-in-magic/ Fri, 11 Mar 2011 12:00:40 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=7643 I sure do! That is, I believe in L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base. I put this on before foundation (obviously, that’s what you do with primers after all) and it makes my skin feel like silk, or in the words of Ak, a baby’s behind. It evens out my skin tone and makes my pores look smaller. Its like a magic! Guess that’s where they got the name…

Scrub a Dub Dub http://tipsysociety.com/2011/01/scrub-a-dub-dub/ http://tipsysociety.com/2011/01/scrub-a-dub-dub/#comments Wed, 05 Jan 2011 12:00:11 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=6758 My skin has turned dry as the dickens since the birth of my son. So dry that I was having my own little snow storm of flakes coming off everyday.  I have used the same face wash since I was 14 and it never ever gave me issue before. Having very sensitive skin (my dad’s a redhead),  I am usually not one to venture out if it’s working. I had no choice but to look for an alternative so I could remove the flakiness that was driving me nuts. Loreal Paris’ Go 360 Clean, Deep Exfoliating Scrub works miracles on dry skin, doesn’t break me out and smells delish. It even claims to reduce your pore size. Jury is still out on the size of my pores, but my face is ultimately way more smooth. My husband has even adopted it and would kill me for telling you that.

Tipsy Favs: Mascara http://tipsysociety.com/2010/04/tipsy-favs-mascara/ http://tipsysociety.com/2010/04/tipsy-favs-mascara/#comments Thu, 08 Apr 2010 11:00:00 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=3301 Time for a another weigh in.  Mascara.  This is something I hold near and dear to my heart.  Or something I accidentally poke my eye with and ensure the worst.pain.known.to.a.woman.

Here we go….

Sarah:  SpectacuLash® Mascara (Black) I like this mascara because it gives me the long, thick, eyelashes I want, without ever being too clumpy.

Der:  Loreal Voluminous Mascara This is one of the only makeup products that I repeatedly buy. I like plump, black lashes and this is the best drug store mascara that I have found for that affect. Also, the makeup artist that I hired on my wedding day…. showed up with this mascara in her bag of tricks, so it must be good 🙂

AK:  Maybelline Lash Stilleto It’s not goopy and clumpy and it separates my lashes perfectly!  And it actually comes off as opposed to sticking to your lashes for days on end.

Court:  Loreal Telescopic Definition Lengthening I’ve tried almost every new mascara that comes out and I always end up sticking to this.  I love the comb like brush, even though you better learn to use it and learn to use it fast.  Lets just say combing through caked on lashes doesn’t end up with the neatest look.  However, don’t let that scare you gals, once you get the hang of it this mascara never fails to provide clean, defined, long lashes that really pop.

Look out, my legs may blind you… http://tipsysociety.com/2010/04/look-out-my-legs-may-blind-you/ http://tipsysociety.com/2010/04/look-out-my-legs-may-blind-you/#comments Wed, 07 Apr 2010 15:00:54 +0000 http://tipsysociety.com/?p=3291 It’s time to break out those cute skirts and shorts; however, you need a good pair of shades to look at my legs!

Here are a few of my favorite sunless tanning solutions. (You know, for those of us whom avoid UV rays like the plague…)

  1. Jergens Natural Glow (This is my favorite because of both price and quality.)
  2. Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel
  3. L’Oreal Sublime Bronze
  4. Tan Towel (I’ve never tried these, but they look REALLY cool.)
  5. L’Oreal Sublime Glow
