It’s getting cooler here you guys! I’m PUMPED! I’m ready to switch from flip-flops to boots! I did actually pass someone at the nail salon the other day who was wearing boots while I was wearing my flip-flops and I had to laugh. I mean I just can’t do the boots right now, if I’m going to sweat my ass off wearing them, can’t do it. Sorry. What I CAN do is PREPARE! These boots are on sale! And cute! And if they aren’t in style next winter I won’t have felt bad about spending an arm and a leg on them!

Women’s Riley Tall Slouch Boot, Payless

I stumbled across these beauties at Payless and it was love at first sight. They have everything I could want in a spring/summer shoe : open toe, wedge heel, and cute nautical colors.  I’m sold.

I came across these shoes recently on Payless’s website and was instantly attracted. I love the different textures and colors. Not to mention these babies are peep toes so my little feetsies will be able to breathe in all this heat we have here.

All of these cold fronts that keep hitting Houston every week are making me even more ready for spring weather, and for all the things that come with it. Including all these cute nautical clothing and accessories. Besides, who doesn’t love the classic red, white, and blue combo? I’m going to need one of each of these please…

I’m a realist in the fact that I can probably kiss my days of sky high stilletos good bye. Though we may have occasional date nights, chasing around a bambino daily does not lend it’s self to pointy toe, skinny heel fabulousness….As I’m sure many of you know. A wedge, now I can handle that. These are funky enough to be noticed, but neutral enough to go with a ton of stuff. Sold!

Dudes, I have to confess something. I once swore I would never ever put a pair of Toms on my feet. When my hipster, walks to the beat of his own drum brother began wearing then several years ago… I thought they were the UGLIEST things I ever laid eyes on and no way would I ever place those colored ace bandages on my feet.

Present day:

Yep. Those are my feet. Dressed in the most comfortable shoes to ever wrap around them. I don’t often fork out a lot of money like $45 for a pair of shoes, but this time I did (because it was Christmas money) and I don’t regret it.

BUT…like every time I buy something full price, I turn right around and find an almost identical knock off for half price. Here we are. Again.

Payless has The Good Shoe. Slip a pair on and you will soon find out that they produce the exact same euphoric level of comfort with an almost identical look. DAMMIT to all hell. I hate when that happens.

Nude shoes are all the rage. These babies go with anything and add a modern touch to any outfit. I can’t get enough of them… it’s borderline an obsession. Are you rocking some nudies on your feet?

With school starting soon, I get to thinking of plaid. I guess it’s the school uniform skirts, maybe. I never had to wear one for dress code purposes, but let me tell you I was once all over the Clueless trend back in the day.  Plaid looks to be making a come back, but in a much better way than a much too short pleated skirt.
