When I stumbled upon the greatness that is Etsy, one of the first shops I found was Whitney Smith Pottery and her awesome awesome cupcake stands. I mean the CUTENESS had me speechless. You can find tons of different items in the shop and all of them scream to me SERVING DISPLAYS FOR WEDDING/BABY SHOWERS. I’ll take one of each please.
LOVE these! We’re 99% sure we’re doing cupcakes for our wedding, and one of the bakeries we’re checking out mentioned that we need to rent cupcake stands. Maybe I’ll just buy a bunch of these instead!
@Christen aren’t they just super adorable?? I’ve seen all different colors..check her sold items too.
And just fyi, we had cupcakes at our wedding…our wedding wasn’t super duper fancy so we displayed ours on little painted stools. You can catch a glimpse of them in a picture I posted here: http://tipsysociety.com/2010/02/tour-de-casa-ak/ it’s #6. Just thought I’d throw that out for you 🙂
ADORABLE! What a fun mix of functional and pretty. Would you like to plan my wedding? 🙂
@Christen hahaha! What’s your color scheme, flowers, etc.? I’m always super interested in people’s weddings and what they pick, colors, new ideas, etc. Der is also… we could look at pictures all day long 🙂
Well, I got engaged two weeks ago, so there are still things left undecided. But, we’ve made excellent progress on the planning: ceremony/reception venue, caterer, my dress, bridesmaid dresses, save the dates = DONE! We’re getting married this October so that’s a big motivator to make decisions quickly 🙂 We both love Fall and the rich colors so that’s a huge inspiration as far as colors (although we haven’t settled on a specific palette), flowers, etc. Style Me Pretty and TheKnot magazine have provided a lot of ideas, but we’re open to more if you and Der need a project.
@Christen I just emailed you–had an idea 🙂
