If you have a kiddo you most likely have heard of this stuff, but if you don’t have a kiddo and you plan on having one…familiarize yourself peeps: Melissa & Doug. This stuff is the bomb diggity. Everything you see here was gifted to my son between the time he was born and now (18 months old) and all of these items have been a HUGE hit. The most recent gift was #1 and let me tell you…even I want to play with it! All of the food is velcro’d and ready for cutting. When you cut, it actually makes a CRUNCHING sound. SO COOL! I know, doesn’t take much for me huh? The only item we DON’T have is the sushi set…I think I might need to gift that to mama.

My son had the Frog (number 6) and people were ALWAYS asking us where we got it. I love their products. Also…little tip….Ikea. No, really. They make some really cool toys. I hated all the little walking push wagons out there. Ikea’s was sleek and so cute I paid to have it shipped from Austin because you couldn’t order it online. They have very cute wooden toys that are very cheap!

I’m a play therapist and I get a little too excited about toys….plus I am a toy snob.
@Tina AWESOME! Good to know about Ikea, we have one here in Houston–but I never think of it for toy stuff…I’ll have to make a trip

We have the sushi set, among lots of the other food sets, love it all. So fun and durable. The pizza and the sushi are my son’s favs. I had to get rid of the pet sounds puzzle…it would randomly make sounds (I guess when the light in that room changed) but it freaked me out!
@Danielle Good to know about the sushi set!! I have had the exact same experience with the pet sounds…we have farm animals and pet sounds and lost the piece that goes to the gerbil or whatever that animal is…and when we turn out the lights in the living room at night it makes the little gerbil sound. It freaked me out too!
