Just passing the time…

When I’m bored, I usually don’t just pick up a book…instead, I’ll head straight to a magazine. (The only problem is that I refuse to pay for any subscriptions, so I have to resort to stealing borrowing them from other people…)

Here are a few of my faves (and where I get them)!

  1. Texas Monthly: From my NeeNee and/or Dad.
  2. Bon Appetit: I actually have a subscription to this, but only because it was a gift from my fabulous Aunt Cindy. So far I am LOVING all the new recipes!
  3. Better Homes and Gardens: From my MIL (mother in law).
  4. People: From EVERYONE (mostly my Mom though)…I’m actually a little shocked at how many people I know get subscriptions to People.
  5. Glamour: This one is a toughie because it’s hard to find people, other than my nail salon, that get regular copies; however, if you’re a subscriber, send your old issues my way….we’ll call it recycling… 🙂

What are your FAVE magazines? (And, do you prefer to steal borrow or buy?)

Comments

  1. Get with Laura on the Glamour mags. I have a subscription and always give them to her when I’m finished. I also pass along my Self mags to her, too!

  2. Real Simple is my absolute favorite. I also like Better Homes & Gardens and Backpacker (one of my hobbies).

  3. I used to have a ton of subscriptions (including People) but then I let them all run out, I wanted to see which ones I actually missed. Gotta say, the one I’m thinking of renewing is InStyle…I love how it has everything–award show stuff, fashion, beauty, and they always do some sort of showcase of a celebs house. Great mix of everything.

  4. @D Dubya: I’m going to have to hit her up to pass those along!

  5. @Amy B: I’m going to have to check out Real Simple…I bet my MIL would love to buy a subscription so I could steal, i mean borrow, hers!

  6. @ak: I do like InStyle as well…it’s my top pick at the nail place…if only I could actually figure out how to read a magazine without using my hands…hmmm…

I was sitting here wondering who copied my last name and then I realized it was my sister! Yes, I am happy to pass along my recycled copies.
