Get The Stink Out

We have a Diaper Champ in my son’s room and while it’s great to have it as an enclosed trash can in his room, I don’t think its ever worked on the stink. So we’ve always taken poopy diapers outside or used these (which are great by the way). However I ran across these Arm & Hammer Nursery Fresheners at Target the other day and thought I’d give them a whirl. Has anybody seen/tried these? I just threw one in the bottom of the Diaper Champ and we’ll see how it goes!

  1. I saw these too and man do we need something to work a miracle in AJ’s room! This kid knows how to clear a room….must have learned that from his dad.

  2. Do you see any reason why you can’t use these in the fridge/freezer? I always keep a container of baking soda in both but it’s an open container and can easily spill. These would be great to just throw in the back and forget about.

  3. @der you are cracking me up!

  4. @L Dubya The only thing about the ones that I found that you might not want to put them in the fridge is that they have a slight lavender fragrance. I don’t know if all of them have that or just the ones that I bought. So you might check to see if there are non fragranced ones. They are definitely small–like two inches in diameter so they’d be perfect for small spaces.

I stopped using our diaper pail (Diaper Decor) because it did nothing for the smell. Instead we purchased a box of 500 powder scented diaper disposal bags for under $5 at BJ’s. We only use them for dirty, not wet, diapers.
