New Year, New Workouts?

I’m the type of person that has to constantly change up my workout routine because, well lets be honest, I get BORED! Some of the workouts I tried and loved in 2010 include:

  1. Bootcamp; by far my favorite workout of the year because everyday is something different!
  2. No More Trouble Zones; this was a good “I don’t feel like going to the gym” workout.
  3. Reformer Pilates; Not a huge cardio workout, but GREAT for strength training.
  4. Bickram Yoga; I only did this a couple of times because it was so dang TOUGH, but I think this should be my go to in 2011 to help sweat off the baby weight.

So, I put a question mark next to the title of this post because I’m interested to see if there’s a new workout that I need to know about and/or try!?!?!? It seems that every year there’s a huge fad, and I’m not above jumping on a bandwagon…

  1. I just bought the 30 day shred today. Is it going to make me cry?

  2. No, but don’t kid yourself into thinking you’ll graduate to level 2 in 10 days unless you’re in good shape already. And level 3 push-ups where you clap are just ridiculous. It took me about 30 days to reach the second level, at which point I was getting bored with Jillian and switched to a boot camp DVD. 🙂

  3. @Danielle (elleinadspir): I won’t say that you’ll cry, but you’ll definately get a good workout. And yes, you will find Jillian annoying after awhile, but my solution to that was putting her DVD on my laptop and watching TV while working out!

  4. @Haley: I get bored with almost anything and everything I do for 30 days…

  5. After the first few workouts, I blast music and mute the DVDs because for some reason, encouraging words from someone with a model body are the LAST thing I want to hear when struggling to do more jumping jacks… 😉

  6. @haley, I also have to mute jillian. it’s a love hate thing, but i get to where I literally can’t stand the sound of her voice.
