Giveaway: Make Others GREEN with Spa Envy

Everyone loves to get their facial on, right?  I’ll admit, I was scared the first couple of times, but now I am in love.  For the partially-adult-acne-prone skin I own, I am amazed how a good facial actually helps, especially an all natural Green facial.  You don’t have to be the all. vegan. all. the. time. type of individual to partake in a Green salon experience. In most cases, Green salons just tend to be more environmentally responsible with their product choices and therefore healthier for your skin and hair as well.

In H-Town, I found a salon (DotDot Salon), an esthetician (Lindsay) and a facial (The Dharma) that I <3. Cutest salon, nicest girl eva and did I mention this adorable, quaint place is Houston’s first Green hair salon?

For you lucky readers residing in Houston, Texas,  Lindsay is ready to show you her skilz!  The Prize:  “The Dharma” facial, valued at $125.00.

I started using this new product that was supposed to be AMAZING, well, it was great after the first few times, then my skin FREAKED… I broke out like crazy! It took me like 2 months to get my sking back to normal… ooy. Stick to what you know…

About 2 years ago, I found out I have endometriosis. And despite a couple of surgeries, I had to take really strong hormones that wreaked havoc on my system and gave me terrible cystic acne. That was really the icing on the cake after all the pain and emotional issues I had from the endo – I felt totally gross and unattractive. I am on some new medication now, which helps a little, but at some point I will have to switch back to the other hormones!

  3. I had the worlds worst skin experience…I was “suffering” from acne in college so I went to the derm and was referred to their aesthetician and told I needed a chemical peel and microdermabrasion at the same time. That was mistake number one. I went in and got the microderm first…felt nice, a little strange but no pain… Then the chemical peel…it felt like my face had been doused in gasoline, lit on fire and then more gasoline fanned the flames. It was HORRIBLE. I thought I would die. I had to spend the next 3 days inside my home, away from the sun and covered in Vaseline because my skin was peeling so thick that each time a flake came off it was BLEEDING! Certainly that might be the worst experience you’ve ever heard. XOXO.
