It’s that time of year ladies and gents, baseball season has officially begun, and if you live in a house with a baseball loving freak guy, then you know that opening day is a BIG day! My hubby and I attended opening day for the Houston Astros on Monday…
Here are the things I observed/experienced:
- A giant flag.
- Air Force Commanders parachuting into the field.
- Jack Ingram singing the National Anthem. (If you don’t know who this is, look him up, he’s pretty good…)
- Massive amount of peanuts. (Sorry, I ate the chili cheese dog too fast and couldn’t get a picture of it!)
- LONG lines to acquire said peanuts and chili dog.
The HIGHLIGHT of the night by far, however, was seeing George Bush Sr. and Barbara on the kiss cam (not pictured). They did kiss and it was very sweet…I hope me and the hubby are as cute as them when we enter our twilight years! 🙂
Oh man, my heart is so happy when baseball season rolls around! My brother has never missed an opening day for our home team, the SF Giants. Bring on the beer, hot dogs and ice cream!!
Awesome post! Ready to come watch a game at Minute Maid Park this year!
I’m jealous! I used to have a tradition of going to Astros Opening Day every year, but now I live in Austin. That three hour drive is brutal after the game. Thanks for the pics!
