Go Texan

You know the saying, “Go Local”. That’s a term that I’ve been trying more and more to incorporate into my life. Stopping at local farmers markets, buying locally-constructed furniture, etc. My BFF works for the Texas Department of Agriculture, and this department has started a great movement called Go Texan, where local, Texas-made, companies can come together and consumers can easily identify them. Go Texan has put together a great Holiday Gift Guide 2010  that you should check out for ideas. (The link is a PDF that may take a couple minutes to open)

Do you try to “Go Local” in your state?

Comments

  1. It’s a great organization. I’m happy to be a member of Go Texan–it was a blast having a space at the State Fair in the Food and Fiber Pavillion!!!

    GO LOCAL!!!

  2. Don’t mess with Texas!

That doesn’t apply here, but I felt like saying it. I think that movement will really catch on since we Texans are abnormally loyal to our state. 🙂
