These are movies I try not to miss during the holidays…first choice being A Christmas Story. Though I have several parts of this movie that I find very memorable, for some reason I always think about the dogs coming in and ripping apart that turkey which leads to them eating Christmas dinner at the Chinese restaurant.

Every single year, we watched a VHS of Christmas specials we had taped off of tv when I was a kid: Garfield’s Christmas, Rudolph, A Sesame Street Christmas, and some weird claymation sing-along special that briefly included the California Raisins. The tape even has bits of commercials from the late 80s. My sister and I (both adults!) still insist on watching it every year. It just doesn’t feel like Christmas without seeing ice-skating clay walruses fall through the ice!
@Rachael that is hilarious! I’m definitely a huge fan of Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch and I’m trying to force them on my son so that I never stop watching them hahahah
@court yes it’s def running a close second for my fav christmas movie.
My husband and I watch “Love Actually” at least once every year at Christmas-time, often while wrapping gifts. It’s sweet, sometimes sad, romantic and funny, and always reminds us what the holidays should ultimately be about. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0314331/
@Kelly that sounds like an awesome tradition! I’ve seen Love Actually but never think about it at Christmas time! I might have to bust it out this year!
I tried starting the Love Actually tradition with my family… and I forgot about the people filming the porn movie and all of the toplessness. Oops.
