Holiday Gift Guides: Infants

Those wee little ones can sometimes be the hardest to buy for. I mean, they don’t play with toys and they don’t show much interest in anything besides sleeping, eating and pooping. But it is their first Christmas and by all means we need to have some presents under our tree for the little tyke.  Here are some great ideas for the newbies.

  1. Babies R Us, Mute Button– Every mommy and daddy needs a mute button every now and then and even if they are not a fan of the paci it is sure to get a good laugh.
  2. Etsy, My First Christmas Onesie– Doesn’t every baby need a My First Christmas outfit?? I think so.
  3. Etsy, Personalized Growth Chart– This is perfect for mommy and daddy to start to track the baby’s growth and since it can be used for a number of years to come.. it’s the gift that keeps on giving!
  4. Target, Sleep Sack– Every kiddo is going to wiggle their way out of a swaddle at some point and that point is now in my house. These wearable blankets or sleep sacks are sure to keep the baby toasty in the wintery months. It’s a snuggie for the bambinos!
  5. Etsy, That’s How I Roll Onesie–  You can never go wrong with the humorous onesie for a baby gift, this is one of my personal favs

Pampers Extra Protection vs Huggies Overnights

In terms of an overnight diaper we always just by default picked up Huggies Overnights, even though we use Pampers during the day.  I couldn’t tell you how many times we would deal with leakage in the morning, so we ended up getting things called diaper doublers that we would put inside of the Huggies Overnights to absorb even more.  A couple of weeks ago we saw these Pampers Extra Protection diapers and decided why not?  Worth a shot right? So we tried them without the diaper doubler and lo and behold no leakage.  We’ve been using them for a few weeks now and haven’t had any leakage whatsoever.  It’s crazy because they are so much thinner feeling than Huggies and yet, no leakage.  Anybody else a Pampers Extra Protection fan?
