Honestly WTF

Have you heard of this site? Honestly WTF is a site I stumbled upon recently and I’m LOVING their DIY tutorials, specifically on bracelets. The photo above are some of the ones that inspired me to get my craft on.

DIY Braided Hex Nut Bracelet
DIY Rope Bracelet
DIY Friendship Bracelet

Here is what I ended up with! They were pretty easy! The only ones that gave me a hard time were the rope bracelets, I could not wrap my head around how to tie that adjustable knot, but I finally got it right after several tries. The friendship bracelet, while it took a long time, it was pretty relaxing to sit and do while I watched Celebrity Rehab.  And you guessed it, I did not have rhinestones, but I did have turquoise beads (shocker).

The turquoise/green and shades of grey bracelets idea was found in the comments of Honestly WTF and you can find that tutorial here. I can’t wait to figure out how to mix and match these with other bracelets I have.  What DIY stuff have you been doing recently?

A New Nursery

Thanks for bearing with us lately…we know we haven’t posted as much as normal over the past month.  Everybody got a little busy what with some of us birthin’ babies, keeping up with existing babies plus end of school year stuff.  We’ll eventually get back on track…PROMISE!

So on to the new post today!  If you have been keeping up with some of my instagrams you’ll see that we welcomed a new baby boy on May 9th.  And I just wanted to give you a little tour of his room.  We used a ton of the same stuff from my first born’s nursery, like the glider, crib, mobile, etc.  I just kinda stuck with the same artists and etsy shops that I used last time but different animals. And I also decided to do a small hedgehog theme…sorta like how I did a small owl theme in his brother’s room.  It came together pretty quickly!

For Keepsy

I’m sure by now y’all are all aware that we are Instagram users and abusers. Yep, I plaster photos of my kiddo all up in random people’s faces all day long with that super fantastic Iphone app (derberto if you are looking for me). Did you know you can also use Keepsy to create a photobook of your Instagram pics? WHA-WHA!

A Big Boy Room

We recently converted our son’s room from a nursery into a big boy room.  I shared his nursery long ago and so I figured I would share his big boy room now.  Since we didn’t make his nursery super baby-ish it was actually pretty easy to transition.  We just purchased a few more pieces of furniture, moved the crib out and rearranged some stuff on the wall. Voila! Dunzo!

Nike Training App

I recently ran across this FREE app from Nike and I do believe it’s the answer to my “lose baby weight prayers” because it’s like a personal trainer on my phone that I can take with me everywhere!

Etsy Spotlight: Aedriel Originals

I am loving this tableware by Aedriel Originals! I love how simple it is and of course I love the bright colors.  One of each please!!

Dwell on it

Dwell Studio from Target has GOT to be my new favorite designer for Tarjey…I literally CANNOT get enough of this stuff!

  2. Bibs 3pk-Blue
  3. Suzanni 7-pc Kitchen Textile Set
  4. Suzanni Sham

iPhone Apps: Preschool Memory Match

So, my better half got an iPad.  The kiddo has renamed the iPad “the big phone” because most of the games he can play on our iPhones he can now play on the iPad.  One of those games is Preschool Memory Match and what I LOVE about it is that each game is different and it says the name of whatever is behind the card out loud whether it’s an animal or musical instrument or whatever.

The downside of this game:
