All your life you hear not to wear those unflattering horizontal stripes, but this fall there are a bucket load of cute tees that are sure to have me breaking that good ole’ rule. Are you a fan of the horizontal stripe?
There are few things I hate more than seeing a knock off for WAY cheaper of a product I JUST purchased. I tend to love trying out new trends, so it really erks me to invest a ton of cash on something that will probably be long gone the next year. Don’t get me wrong… sometimes you just love something so much that it doesn’t matter the cost, but to test drive a new trend I always go cheaper. So, here are some fall trends and their much cheaper counter parts.

AK has written about her eternal struggle for the perfect tshirt and I’m no expert on what’s perfect, but the softness of these vintage-y, burn out type tees is something to be coveted.
Are you always wearing boring black? Why not move on down a shade and pull on some gray. Sure, the idea seems gloomy, but no ma’am. I happen to LOVE gray. I love it so much that I painted my walls in my house gray- every room a different shade. It’s such a great canvas to pop color against and it’s a pretty great neutral all by itself. BTW, do you say gray or grey? That always throws me for a loop.
Is anybody out there like me and on the hunt for the perfect t-shirt? I need a t-shirt to not be so thin that all my lumps and bumps show, to hit at just the right place in length and to not be tooo cap-sleevey, not too clingy but not too loose. And what the hell with brown t-shirts getting all decolorized swirly when you wash them? Is it so hard to buy a t-shirt and want to throw it in the washing machine and dry it and have it come out the same color it was before? You feel me? I’ve bought tees from all these places and while I do end up wearing them, I haven’t found THE. BEST. T-SHIRT. EVER. Have you?
As many of you know, I am adding another weiner to my family… I’m having a BOY!!! My mind is going bonkers with all the possibilities. I have heard of the challenges to find cute boy stuff and I think I’m the right girl for the job. Here are some of the items that have my credit card on fire.
Cobalt blue is a great basic color on so many people. Brunettes looking just as stunning as blondes and red heads. Bring out those baby blues with some cobalt blue accented with yellow or turquoise. If you are feeling patriotic…throw on some red and white too.
If What Not To Wear has taught me anything.. it’s that coral is one of the most universally flattering colors on women. Coral is great paired with a splash of turquoise jewelry. It can be sophisticated with neutrals like khaki or gray and if you are brave enough, accent it with something yellow or lime.
Oh pregnancy, what have you done to me?!?!?! My feet hurt just walking across the room. No stilettos for me. Flat sandals are where it’s at. I’m going to need some funky, girlie flair though. Or else.
Even though I am soon to be quite ineligible for these, I have always been a huge belt fan. They can be placed at just the right spot to to gather your blouse or dress and make you look like you have that Marilyn Monroe hourglass figure that you always wanted. Here are some super cute belts that will definitely do the trick!
