I’ve Been Workin on the Railroad

I have a thing for “railroad” denim. It may have  a technical name, but that I do not know. I love it nonetheless. I love that it goes with all colors and just adds a touch of uniqueness to your average ole jeans. I think I need one of each of these suckers. (OMG BABY RAILROADS!!!)

Maternity 2.0

I wish people would tell you that you will essentially have 2 maternity wardrobes, and I’m currently on 2.0. I guess this may not be true for everyone, but I will tell you that I woke up one morning and over half of my maternity wear had turned to crop tops! This may be because I have a really long torso and it may also be because I am carrying this baby ALL out front…either way, I had an excuse to pick up these cute duds!

  2. Target, Maternity Long-Sleeve V-Neck Knit Top

If I Was a Boy…

Sometimes I like having a husband that cares a lot about his clothing and how his hair looks and sometimes it sucks. Like when he makes 47 wardrobe changes before deciding on an outfit for a not even important event. That part sucks. What doesn’t suck is his love of shopping. It’s like having a life sized Ken doll of my very own. Every now and then he has to reel me back in when I try to take him over his own personal limit, but I tell him I would wear it… if I was a boy. Here are some of my very favorite boy things out there right now.

  1. 21 Men, Button Shoulder Sweater
  2. 21 Men, Blended Striped Sweater Jacket
  3. JCrew, Sperry Topsider CVO Sneaker
  4. JCrew, New Balance for JCrew

  7. Old Navy, LS Classic

Starting the New Year with Flare

There is a new silhouette on the denim scene for 2011 and I could not be more excited to see this oldie but goodie make a comeback. Flare leg jeans have a super 70’s vibe that I LOVE and to me they just fit on more body types than the last denim trend of the skinny variety. I can’t wait to slip on some of these with some platforms and big glasses while humming to the tune of Stayin’ Alive.

  1. Old Navy, Skinny Flared Trouser Jeans
  2. New York and Company, Super Flare Jeans
  3. Gap, New Wide Leg Trouser Jeans
  4. Yoox, Meltin Pot Jeans
  5. Express, Flare Leg Jean Leggings
  6. Macys, Levis Destroyed Flares

Belt it Out

The one thing I was most excited about post pregnancy(besides, ya know, having the baby) was wearing a belt ! The trend is taking us down the skinny minnie lane as far as belts go as of lately. I’m totally on board with the skinny belted cardi look, the monochromatic outfit with a skinny belt accent and they look great wearing multiples stacked too. Here are some fantabulous skinny belts. How do you wear your skinny?

  1. Forever21, Glossy Leatherette Skinny Belt
  2. Gap, Skinny Leather Bow Belt
  3. Charlotte Russe, Skinny Minnie Bow Belt
  4. Charlotte Russe, Trio Skinny Belts
  5. New York and Co, Sparkle Skinny Belt
  6. Charlotte Russe, Crackle Skinny Belt Trio

Christmas Duds

So if I had planned a bit better this is what my little guy might be wearing on Christmas Day come dinner time.  I’d also be crossing my fingers that the temp might be on the cold side and he wouldn’t overheat.

  1. Fair Isle Sweater, The Children’s Place
  2. Holiday Plaid Shirt, Gap
  3. Baby Jeans, Boden
  4. Triple Roll Socks, Gap
  5. School Issue Scholar, Zappos

Christmas Wishlist: Der Edition

It’s that time again! Christmas is sneaking up on us and we tipsy gals have been pretty damn good this year if I don’t say so myself. When I sent my letter to Santa, here is what was on it:

  1. Amazon, Modern Family Season 1– I can’t sing this show’s praises enough and I totally want to own this so I can re-watch it over and over.
  2. Nordstrom, Michael Kors Chronograph Watch– I haven’t owned an actual watch of value since I couldn’t tell you when. And I know there are much more pricey pieces available, but since I’ve been out of the game for a some time… I’ll start off easy.
  3. Express, Essential Stretch Military Shirt– I am a HUGE fan of the military trend and the stretch in this top would allow room for the ladies if ya know what I mean.
  4. Etsy, Finger Print Necklace– I would love to preserve and wear my new little man’s finger print around my neck daily. It’s such a unique keepsake that I would cherish forever.
  5. Amazon, Hobo International Metallic Lauren Wallet – I adore my hobo lauren wallet that I have, but it honestly has seen better days. I really like the metallic version for my upgrade.
  6. Amazon, Raspberry Converse– Since the purchase of my very first pair of converse, I am wanting to own every color of the rainbow and these are the perfect shade of pink.
  7. Kohls, Deni Digital Stainless Steel Steamer– Steamed veggies are where it’s at in my book, so I think this is right up my alley.
  8. Timi and Leslie, Baby Jane Bag– I LOVE my current diaper bag so much, but a gal can never have too many bags, right? I love the sleekness of this bag and I would totally rock this with or without my baby.
  9. Gap, Plaid Flannel Pajamas– I have always wanted a classic set of jammies to kick it in during the winter months.
  10. Amazon, Bare Escentuals Starter Kit– I have always wanted to give this stuff a go. I have never used any type of mineral make-up before, but those infomercials sure do sell me.

Do Be a Slouch

With all this love for jeggings and the skinny jeans, we need some tops that balance out that booty, if ya know what I mean. I used to think these types of blouses only worked for your 80’s Halloween costume, but I have to say they are growing on me fast. So, are you a slouch?

  1. Gap, Lurex Drapey Tee
  2. Gap, Cocoon Tee
  3. Gap, Doloman Cardigan
  4. Charlotte Russe, Oversized Batwig Tee
  5. Walmart, Womens Snap Front Top
  6. Charlotte Russe, Poncho Style Feather Tee

Never a Team Player

I must admit I have never played on a legit sports team in my life… I once did a very brief stint in my childhood as a fill-in outfielder for a  softball team and quickly realized I was much better suited for dancing and gymnastics. In fact, my jersey that day was number 00, which happened to be very well suited for my performance. This doesn’t keep me from enjoying the baseball uniform look of a raglan tee, in fact I love them. Here are some super cute versions.

  1. Charlotte Russe, Raglan Baseball Sleepshirt
  2. Old Navy, Baseball Tee
  3. Gap, Raglan Tee
  4. Old Navy, Raglan Henley
  5. Alloy, Raglan Tee
  6. American Eagle, Womens Raglan Baseball Tee
