Riding the Wave

I got this new contraption and I have to tell the blog world about it. It’s a large barreled wave iron by Revlon and I love it. I got it from my local Target and barely contained myself long enough to rip open the packaging and test it out. I ran it very quickly through my hair within 5 minutes and this was the result.

Perfect beachy waves for summer. I am positive if I take more time and accuracy I could produce some more clean and perfect waves too. Run, do not walk and get yourself one too!

My son may be only 5 months of age, but you put that child in a bouncer in front of a television blaring Yo Gabba Gabba on Nick Jr. and you will see what true glee looks like. Tipsy Story Time: Court is Bitch, or so I Thought

We decided as a group that we needed to have a little more of a background as to how we all became the best friends that we are today. And it’s by chance really, a chance I almost did not give my dear friend Court.

Why you ask? Because I thought she was a bitch. You see, if you didn’t know this, we all used to work for the same company. I repeat used to. None of us currently work there anymore and that is a good thing. Actually, a great thing. It is a small company, the kind of company where you know everyone’s first and last name  and probably what they ate for dinner last night or their shoe size and blood type. Anyway, I was the new girl. (Court and AK were veterans and Sarah was not even a twinkle in our eyes yet) From where I sat  I had clear view of Court’s office and all day I could hear and see her chewing asses of her employees, hanging out with this amazon of a woman that was an actual confirmed bitch, putting customers in their place and peering over at me periodically with a look that could frighten Freddy Kruegar. I also think I hadn’t been introduced to that amount of crazy hair before, so that was a little frightening too.

Anywho, I’m really not exactly sure how we ended up on the right track. I think it was somewhere in a drunken happy hour or company picnic that I realized that she was a very rare find.  I make all my best decisions at happy hours. What I do know is that I thought Court was a bitch in August of 2005 and by New Years Eve of 2005 this is what we were doing. (Please pardon our horrendous looks in this pic, as we were dancing fools. I do believe I was also wearing a fake ponytail that night. Something Court has yet to let me live down. I have no idea why I thought that was a good idea, but thats a tale for another day)

It turns out Court was never a bitch. I built her up in my head to be that way, but once I saw through that wild mane we have been the best of friends a girl could ask for.
