I Have An Announcement

So, I’m not sure if I have ever formally introduced you to this man, but he’s an avid music lover, a gamer for life, a hippie, a great therapist and my own personal comedian.  He’s the apple of my eye.  Every day is a dynamite day with this guy in my life!

Oh by the way, it’s his birthday today.

I’d like you to join me in wishing Ben a very happy birthday.

Countdown to Halloween is Officially On

So Austin is 8, which of course means Halloween is right up there with Christmas on his social calendar.  Which brings me to my next point.  Ever order a costume off the internet only to realize its ridiculously AWFUL?  Well this year Aus comes to me and says he’d like to be Naturo. Those of you having no clue who this Naruto guy is, have an 8 year old boy and you’ll figure it out real quick.  So no store carries the costumes, so we test our luck ordering online.

Pretty darn cute if I don’t say so myself.  Found on Amazon, ordered and BAM.  Fits perfect….AND I think we are ditching the head piece and going to find our own headband and spike the hair (spraying it yellow as well).

Bring on the sugar induced coma!!

Soccer Mom

And damn proud of it.  My little man never ceases to entertain me and this soccer season is no different.

He’s been at this since around the age of 3 and it just keeps getting more and more fun.  I am, however, that really really loud ass mom cheering like a crazy person.  That’s normal right?

I think the additional entertainment of watching the sideline coaches dads, REAL-true-to-the-game-soccer moms crazy ladys, and general hysteria that can arise from an 9 year old boys team is just an added bonus.

GOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLL

It’s BAAACCCCKKKKK

My baby’s beginning a new school year and I am finding each year more and more fun.  A lot of mom’s had the back to school experience this last week and I had to share mine!

I am so proud of my little man and love the experience of watching him grow up!  3rd grade, BRING IT ON.

Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite

I love to see my little guy in his PJs.  There’s just something about those little baby legs running around the house in those PJs! I am loving these from Company Kids and I do believe my favorite is #3.  Do you love baby PJs and if so, where you do you get yours?

  1. Boys Snug-fit Pajamas-Monster
  2. Boys Snug-fit Pajamas-Zoo Animals
  3. Boys Snug-fit Pajamas-Choo Choo Train
  4. Boys Snug-fit Pajamas-Dinosaur

Eyyyyy Poncho!

Was I the only looser cool girl who thought ponchos were like the thing, the  COOLEST garment circa 1992??

Well, ready or not, they’ve made a comeback and you’ll never guess how….

  1. Super Natural Baby – Blanket + Poncho
  2. 7 AM® Enfant Pookie Poncho – Red
  3. Go Baby Ponchos – this site has it ALL going on!!!!!
  4. Target Aqua Poncho

OK, so–Infants can rock the PONCHO a lot better than adults. ‘Nough said.

My baby is 8

8 years ago today, along came this amazing little guy…

Austin, I am so thrilled and proud to be your mommy.

ManCave

Most of us have that special man in our life who needs special time in their special place.  I have a few pointers on making this special place uber-bad-ass.

  1. Mandles
  2. Man Coasters
  3. Remote Holder
  4. Whiskey Stones
  5. Beer Holster
  6. Pool Wine Ball Wine Stoppers – for the wine loving man in your life
  7. Lamp
  8. Sign

Lets, Play Ball!

It’s that time of year ladies and gents, baseball season has officially begun, and if you live in a house with a baseball loving freak guy, then you know that opening day is a BIG day! My hubby and I attended opening day for the Houston Astros on Monday…

Here are the things I observed/experienced:

  • A giant flag.
  • Air Force Commanders parachuting into the field.
  • Jack Ingram singing the National Anthem. (If you don’t know who this is, look him up, he’s pretty good…)
  • Massive amount of peanuts. (Sorry, I ate the chili cheese dog too fast and couldn’t get a picture of it!)
  • LONG lines to acquire said peanuts and chili dog.

The HIGHLIGHT of the night by far, however, was seeing George Bush Sr. and Barbara on the kiss cam (not pictured). They did kiss and it was very sweet…I hope me and the hubby are as cute as them when we enter our twilight years! 🙂

Easter Bunny is Coming to Town

So, Easter is always a neat time of the year.  Church, hidden plastic eggs filled with money, and family.  That all makes sense right?

Seriously though, I love scoping out goodies for my son, Austin’s, basket.  Check it out (rated: 7-year-old boy).

  1. Pocket Bunny– handmade and adorable.  Love it.
  2. Bunny Crayons – I love seeing something as simple as crayons in a shape like a bunny to celebrate the day.
  3. Soccer Easter Basket – for my little future Pelé.
  4. Travel Battelship – these types of things are great for going on trips, around the house with out the clutter and just to have when he spends the night at a friends.  Austin has really gotten into Risk lately.  Anyone seen an updated or travel version of Risk?
  5. Peeps – ‘nough said.
  6. Venus Fly Trap Kit – has anyone been watching the new series on the Discovery Channel, Life?  Well, its great, Aus and I really love watching it together and it makes it totally rational to give my son a Venus Fly Trap for Easter.
  7. Indoor Boomerang – I always kick myself in the ass for toys like this.  But, an indoor boomerang?  Pretty sure we need to test it just to make sure it WON’T break things.
  8. Giant LED Flashlight – Aus has a million flashlights, but the LED and the size makes this one even cooler.
