Mix together and enjoy!

Ghost Stories

Ghost Stories for the kiddos…My little guy was born in October so we’ve been gifted many Halloween themed books and this year he has become obsessed with PUNKINS! Mama! Punkins!  I think I’ve read #2 approximately 1.2 billion times this week already.  But hey, I like Duck & Goose, so I can hack it.  I’m curious, do any of you have #5 or #6? Any good?  Do you have Halloween favorites you read to your kids?

  1. Happy Halloween Biscuit
  2. Duck & Goose Find a Pumpkin
  3. Plumply Dumply Pumpkin
  4. It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
  5. I’m Not Scared
  6. The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything

Trick or Treat!

I’ve been looking for a costume for my little guy for Halloween.  Honestly we’ve been pondering whether we’d do the whole costume thing this year or just wait til next year.  I mean he’s two, he’s really not gonna eat the candy or get the whole trick or treat thing–he’ll just have fun running around the neighborhood.  But will he have fun if he’s got a costume on or will he just be trying to get it off and run around the neighborhood.  You feelin’ me?  So anyway, here’s some cute finds!

  1. Meerkat, Meijer
  2. Cookie Sandwich, Pottery Barn Kids
  3. Dino, Target
  4. Popcorn, Pottery Barn Kids
  5. Ring Tail Lemur, Target
  6. Caterpillar, Target
  7. Chick, Etsy
  8. Bat, Pottery Barn Kids

When did you start trick or treating? What are your kids going to be this year?

Holiday Help

I saw a story on Good Morning America a few weeks ago that I thought was a really good idea and needed to pass along…

When I hear “holiday help”, I always think of the seasonal help, but GMA pointed out that there are tons of way to make money or for you to have your own personal help during this always way too busy season. So, here are a few ways to “help” this holiday season:

  • Offer or hire someone to address and mail Holiday cards.
  • Offer or hire someone to run errands and pick up gifts for you.
  • Offer or hire someone to wrap your presents.
  • Offer or hire someone to take gifts back after the Holidays are over.

If you need a little spending $$$ this season or if you’re finding yourself with little time to get ANYTHING accomplished, don’t be shy to ask around…some of your friends might be the perfect choice to for “holiday help”!

I love my kittahs this much

So much that I think all four of my kittahs needs these costumes for Halloween these year.

I Won’t Be Sheetfaced This Year…

As most of you already know, Halloween is on a Sunday this year. That means that the majority of you have work, or if you are a professional student like me,  you have class bright and early Monday morning. That means no Halloween party on actual Halloween. So what will I be wearing for a low-key Halloween this year? Any one of these…

  1. Get Sheetfaced Tee – This is my personal favorite 🙂
  2. Gangsta Wrap Tee
  3. I Bite Tee

A Scary Welcome

What do you do on your doorstep for Halloween?  Do you put out a carved pumpkin or do you ramp it up a notch with something like these items from At West End?

  1. Iron Spider Pumpkin
  2. Rustic Metal Spider
  3. Wooden Ghost
  4. Spooky Jack (this also comes in orange but man oh man this grey one is S-C-A-R-Y)
  5. Rustic Metal Scary Cat
  6. Pumpkin Ghost Yard Stake

Happy Father’s Day

To all the men in my life: If I could I would get each of you these things I have envisioned in my head…this is what they would be:

For my hubby: (1) A new knife because you love cooking me dinner every night and because this was under the “new” section at Sur la Table so I’m positive you don’t have this one yet.  And also, the latest and greatest (2) iPhone because I know you want one even though you haven’t said anything to me about it.

For my Dad: (3) This rotating water broom thing.  It just screams YOU.

For my Bro: I know you are working on your house a ton, so I figure you might need (6) something in this arena.

For my Father-in-Law: A (5) Golf Cabbie Hat, because I think they look cool and because you play golf.  I think that means you’d look cool playing golf with this on…so WIN WIN!

What I ended up getting everyone: Pictures of your son/grandson/nephew from (4) Portrait Innovations.  You know you love them!

When I crack open those plastic Easter eggs on Easter morning, this is what I hope I find!

  1. Amazon, Sour Patch Jelly Beans-Der gave me the heads up on these because she knows I’m a huge addict fan of Sour Patch kids and man o man are these good!
  2. Amazon, Reeses Peanut Butter Egg-One of these has been in my Easter basket every year of my life.  Easter would not be the same without one.
  3. Amazon, Cherry Sours-nope not even remotely Easter but its a Cherry Sour?! Who is going to turn one away.  You do need candy to put in some of those other plastic eggs-COME ON?! And yes that link is to a 10lb case. What.
  4. Candy Warehouse, SweeTarts Chicks Ducks Bunnies-SweeTarts are right up there in my fav category and I love when I see a little SweeTart bunny!!
  5. Amazon, Cadbury Eggs-My all time favorite of these would be the Cadbury Chocolate Creme Filled Egg but I haven’t seen one in any store in TWO YEARS.  What happened? Are they not making the chocolate creme filled anymore???
