  3. Target, Merona Collection Women’s Alicia Sleeveless Top
  4. Urban Original, Fahrenheit Yama Ruffled Bootie Ankle Boot

  8. Lulus, Windswept Beauty Dark Teal Dress

Sucker for Tucker for Target

I once contemplated getting a part-time job at Target, but quickly realized that I would spend my entire earnings and then some in the store, so that was a no-go. What is a go is the latest designer to hit Target stores, Tucker for Target. Here are a few items that I am currently drooling over:

  1. Tie Front Blouse in Orange Polka-Dot Print
  2. Signature Blouse in Floral Print
  3. Halter Top in Mosaic Print
  4. Velvet Dress in Burnout Print
  5. Circle Print Tee
  6. Signature Dress in Diamond Print

Melis’ Make Believe Shopping

I’m Melis, one and only sister of Der (who is currently on blog maternity leave). I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of characters here at Tipsy Society and thought I would let y’all in on a little bit about me.

I’m a 20 something grad student at the superly awesome Texas A&M University working on joining the real working world within the next year (hopefully, depending on how tipsy I get). I am a proud dog mom to a speckled weiner, named Lily. She’s my half blind handicapable dogchild and I’m sure you will hear lots more about her during my stint here.

The other thing that I need to admit is that I am a true to the game make believe shopper. I place items in my online cart with no intention of ever buying them; it’s practice shopping for when I have a real job with a real paycheck. I have been a broke college student for 5+ years now so it’s honestly just a survival technique at this point.

Here are the items currently on my make believe shopping list:

  1. Forever21, Striped Rosette Beanie
  2. Old Navy, Shark Dog Costume
  3. Old Navy, Pom Pom Fringe Scarf
  4. Forever21, Impression Suedette Heels
  5. Papaya, Studded Fringy Bag
  6. Target, Back Ruffled Dress

Pretty Things At Every Price: Shirtdresses

This is the last in our series of Pretty Things in the dress genre.  We are ending it with shirtdresses!

  1. Der-Women’s Belted Woven Dress-Here is one helluva a deal and a perfect fall wine color.. would be highly adorable with some tall boots. Of course when it’s not 106 degrees.
  2. Court-Speechless Women’s Striped Long Sleeve Shirtdress-So I don’t tend to gravitate towards the men’s work shirt dresses as much as I do the t-shirt dress look.  Love the simplicity and the stripes of this dress and matches great with a set of leggings.
  3. AK-Bailey Blue Junior’s Military  Long Sleeve Shirtdress-I love the neckline of this dress and I also love that it’s an empire waist! I’d definitely wear this with some chunky turquoise earrings.
  4. Sarah-Long Sleeve Military Shirtdress-This dress may be on the short side for you leggier ladies, but I think it’s totally adorable…add some tights or tall boots like Der and Court suggested and you’re ready for that transition from summer to fall!

Pretty Things at Every Price: Cocktail Dresses

So we’ve already done strapless dresses, maxi dresses, and now we’re onto cocktail dresses! If you have some place fancy to go in the next few months, we might have the frock for you…

  1. Der: One Shoulder Special Occasion Dress-I really like the Grecian style of this dress. I could totally see it jazzed up with some gold accessories and strappy heels. Also it sorta reminds me of a short version of my bridesmaid dresses, so maybe that’s why I love it. 🙂
  2. Court: The Chictopia Dress-First off, this is a GREAT price, not only on this dress, but on this site (they tend to run on the higher side for their adorable goods).  Second is its the LBD, can’t go wrong with that.  Love the waistline and could accessorize the hell outta this dress.
  3. AK: Georgette Dress-I’ve purchased a dress from this site before and it did not disappoint. They have great prices for some turbo cute dresses.  This is just one more cute dress that I’ve had my eye on for quite a while. I love the flower, I love the neckline and I love the COLOR, you know because I’m definitely a COLOR type of gal.
  4. Sarah: Antonio Melani “Ksenia” Dress-I LOVE this dress because of it’s fun colors, but it also has a very elegant cut, which would be perfect for a cocktail party!

Pretty Things At Every Price: Maxi Dresses

Last week we did strapless dresses and this week we are doing maxi dresses! And Sarah just talked about these recently as well. I think all of us Tipsy gals wear them except for Court because she’s a SHORTY.  I’m a semi shorty, so some maxi dresses I encounter drag the ground, but others work out just fine!

  1. Der-Maxi Halter Dress-This one is super cheap and is quite festive in color… which makes me love it more. Plus, I really like the semi-sweetheartish neckline.
  2. Court-A Walk in the Clouds Maxi-Love the pattern and from a store I absolutely love.  I think the concept of this dress is GREAT, but would be very interested to where this would fall on me.  It might drag the ground, even being as short as it is!  These dresses generally do that to me.
  3. AK-Ruffle Neck Maxi Dress-I love the ruffles (obvs) but I also love the criss-cross back.  I think there’s really nothing sexier than a criss-cross back on a gal.
  4. Sarah-Gianni Bini Logan Knit Dress-I LOVE the colors in this dress! (It makes me wish that I was on a tropical island somewhere…)

Easy Bridal Fashion

As my 3 year wedding anniversary approaches, I have found myself day dreaming of our special day, and one in particular detail: my wedding dress!

I’m not like most people, I did not find the wedding dress shopping experience to be fun; rather, I kinda hated every minute of it…(other than the good friends, good lunch, and even better champagne.) So after a disastrous experience, I took to the interwebs in search of my dream dress. Where did I find it? Only my favorite “Go To” store of all time, JCrew!

If you are a bride-to-be, don’t be afraid to order your dress online. Most places have free shipping AND returns, and feel free to order several and have a fashion show in the privacy of your own home! I would totally have a fashion show with these beauties…

  1. Chloe Dao, Olivia
  2. Ann Taylor, Silk Strapless Tiered Gown
  3. JCrew, Silk taffeta Sascha Gown
  4. JCrew, Cotton cady Erica dress
  5. JCrew, Jacquard jardiniere gown
  6. JCrew, Bow monde gown

Pretty Things At Every Price: Strapless Dresses

For the last month we featured all different kinds of purses at different price points.  For the next month we are going to feature different dresses!  First up…Strapless dresses!  Perfect for the sweltering heat of the summer!

  1. Der: Mossimo Smocked Tube Denim Dress-This denim strapless dress with the small ruffle detail is so cute! It could really be worn as a tunic length top too, so that makes it even cuter in my book.
  2. Court: Trixxi Strapless Floral Print Dress-It wasn’t just a few days after der posted some super badass dresses that I found this.  Coming in right under 30.00, I love the retro-ish look with the floral bottom.  I think it would look great dressed up or down.
  3. AK: Mossimo Women’s Strapless Dress-This dress reminds me very much of a J.Crew dress I have that I wore for a wedding.  I have it in brown, but I’m totally loving it in purple and I’m TOTALLY loving on this price.
  4. Sarah: O’Neill Country Mart Dress-Whew, this was a HARD one, but I instantly fell in love with the easiness of this dress. It’s fun, flirty, and will look good on ALL body shapes!

Maxi’s on the Cheap

I love me a summertime maxi dress, but I don’t love the prices of my usual, “go to”, store. (aka JCrew) So, I’ve been on the hunt for some new maxi dresses on the cheap and here are some gems that I found:

  1. Alloy, Halter Maxi Dress
  2. Target, Kimono Sleeve Maxi Dress
  3. Alloy, Jaime Maxi Dress
  4. Walmart, Jersey Racerback Maxi Dress

On a side note, I literally get TONS of comments when I wear my maxi dresses, so pick you up one of these, go out in public, and let your ego get stroked a little…it never hurts! 🙂

Random Shopping Prevails Again

Of all the places I would think I would wind up, Sears is not one of them…. unless I’m in the market for a new lawnmower or something. But, there I was browsing Sears. What I uncovered is pretty spectacular though, so there need not really be further explanation.

  1. Sears, Ruffled Neck Jacquard Dress
  2. Sears, Circle Print Sheath Dress
  3. Sears, Textured Bodice Embroidered Waist Dress
  4. Sears, Womens Glory Orange Patent Sandals
  5. Sears, Polka Dot Dress with Bottom Ruffle Tier
  6. Sears, Crochet Cleo Tank
  7. Sears, Womens Jazz Wedge
  8. Sears, Womens Flora Turquoise Sandal
