Rock My Baby

I recently ran across these and I think I may very well need one of each. What an awesome idea for the modern momma…lullaby versions of songs we already love! It’s perfect to ensure you aren’t caught with twinkle, twinkle little star in your head in front of your grown up friends.

Puddle Jumpers!

This summer my son has been old enough to maybe “enjoy” the pool.  So the first time we tried out the baby pool in our neighborhood, it was more like a combination of a heart attack, panic attack and stress city combined into one for me.  After that day I went on the hunt for something that would keep my kid’s head above the water.  And this is what I found:

Amazon, Stearns Kids Puddle Jumper Basic Life Jacket

This thing is a miracle! He can jump off the side and keep his head above water.  He can “swim” and keep his head above water.  I can take him in the big pool and he can keep his head above water.  It’s awesome!  Today was a much less stressful day at the pool!

Seeds for Seedlings

I am not a pastel loving person and that presents an issue when shopping for baby clothes. I find things here and there online that meet my brightness quota, but it’s very rare for me to find simple, colorful baby gear on the cheap. You would think plain solid colors would be inexpensive and found everywhere, but NO. NO THEY ARE NOT. Target has come to my rescue with their The Little Seeds collection.  Not only is it co-created by Punky Brewster(!), but it also is eco-friendly(!!). I’ll take one of each, please. (Of course in the boy colors, obvs)

Pampers Extra Protection vs Huggies Overnights

In terms of an overnight diaper we always just by default picked up Huggies Overnights, even though we use Pampers during the day.  I couldn’t tell you how many times we would deal with leakage in the morning, so we ended up getting things called diaper doublers that we would put inside of the Huggies Overnights to absorb even more.  A couple of weeks ago we saw these Pampers Extra Protection diapers and decided why not?  Worth a shot right? So we tried them without the diaper doubler and lo and behold no leakage.  We’ve been using them for a few weeks now and haven’t had any leakage whatsoever.  It’s crazy because they are so much thinner feeling than Huggies and yet, no leakage.  Anybody else a Pampers Extra Protection fan?

Baby Legwarmers and No it’s Not a Flashdance Remake

I’m having a fall baby and in Texas it will, I’m sure, still be about 117 degrees. BUT, as it turns cooler and those little legs are dangling bare out of a onesie… I will for sure be reaching out for some of these. A-DOR-A-BLE.

Bags for Diapers and Mom’s Need for 18 Lip Glosses

I want a diaper bag that doesn’t really resemble a diaper bag, if you know what I mean. I want a cute purse like bag that can house both my crap and my child’s crap at the same. Maybe I won’t be able to carry around 18 lip glosses and 2 pairs of sunglasses  anymore, but I don’t want a purse AND a diaper bag situation. So, here are some I am highly interested in. PA-LEASE let me know if anyone has any experience with any of these or any others that I may have missed! I am personally leaning heavily towards #1.

Rain Or Shine Kids

I know about a gagillion ladies that are going to be welcoming a bambino in the fall.  And since I had my bambino in the fall of 2008, I feel I have the perfect shower gift for these ladies.  I got one of these Rain or Shine All Weather Woobees and I am STILL using this blanket.  One side is super soft and can be warm or cool and the other side is waterproof.  The awesome thing about this blanket is that it has two ties on either side that can be used to keep the blanket in place on a front carrier, a infant car seat, a stroller…the list goes on.  Guess which two pics are of my little munchkin….taken a year apart (one in his infant seat and one in his stroller)
