Here in Texas its already swelteringly hot, so that means SKIRTS and shorts. I love me a skirt. I actually have #1 in white with orange embroidery and I have to say it’s one of my favorite skirts. I throw on an orange t-shirt and flip flops and bam I’m dressed! So when I saw this color combo, I immediately started salivating. Please tell me, what is your favorite skirt lately? Is this true for everyone? Probably not.  But it is true for me, man do I love me a Boden catalog.  They draw me in with their bright colors, they string me along with their outfit color combos, they have stuff for my kid, and they now have US sizing!  So I thought I’d share what I’m currently drooling over.

Deck My Neck

A great necklace can add that perfect POW to an otherwise blah outfit. I’ve been really stuck on long necklaces lately. I don’t feel like I’m choking and I just toss one or MAYBE even a few more and layer it up  over a plain t shirt and I’m feelin’ like a million bucks!

I LIKE Not Matching, Thank you.

Inspired by a post that I couldn’t get out of my head from one of my favorite bloggers, I wanna chat a bit about cool color combinations. Gone are the days of matchy matchy and all neutrals. I like to play around with all sorts of colors in all aspects of my life. And I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “that doesn’t match” from those around me. It doesn’t have to match, it has to GO people!  Here are some of my most favorite fashion color combos. Do y’all have any that you regularly wear??

  1. Coral, Grey and Yellow – This is so springy and feminine. I love grey and yellow alone, but adding in the pop of coral is so girly!
  2. Eggplant and Orange– Pretty, complimentary of one another, and just so so darn cute! I don’t think I know a single person that doesn’t look good in eggplant.
  3. Red, White, and Navy– Sure, you can call me a sailor or patriotic, but there is something so classic, but not plain about this combo and I LOVE it.
  4. Purple and Lime– Dark Purple is like Black to me…. it needs something to liven it up! Enter lime!
  5. Turquoise and Orange– These two colors are bright ones, but oh how fun are they together?!?  They seem to be the perfect ying and yang for me.
  7. Yellow with Royal Blue– Yellow is a funny color. So many people don’t wear it, but I am not one of those people. And royal blue just makes it POP!
  8. Kelly Green with Turquoise– Two of my most favorite colors slammed together… perfection.

I Need Cardigan Anonymous

Hi, I’m addicted to cardigans.  I have a lot of cardigans.  One of the things that has fueled my addiction to cardigans is buying solid colors to ensure that I can wear them with as many outfits as possible.  What I’m seeing is that a cardigan can in fact be an accessory now what with all the ruffles, embroidery, stripes and prints available.  I need help, this has opened a whole new world for me.

I Love Me Some Baby Hats

Sick of Navy & Khaki Toddler Pants for Boys?

So in case you haven’t read or guessed yet, I have a little boy. And if you are a mom to a little boy you probably get sick and tired of the same old khaki and navy pants and want to change it up a bit. I know I do!
