Comfy Cozy

I’m lucky enough to have a fantastic job that I love AND I get to work from home! Working from home means, I rarely wear makeup (unless I have a lunch date w/ one of my fabulous Tipsy gals or co-workers) and I rarely wear anything other than lounge wear.

Luckily, me being preggo has not effected this part of my wardrobe because I can still wear ALL of my pre-pregnancy faves (at least as far as the pants go)! Here are some of the staples of my “working from home” wardrobe:

  1. Athleta, Breathe Pant (These come in long sizes so I don’t have to rock “capri” pants when it’s 30 degrees outside.)
  2. Target, Liz Lange Maternity Straight Leg Lounge Pants (Hands down, most comfortable pants EVER.)
  3. Target, Mossimo Plus-size Short Sleeve Basic Tee (I accidentally bought this shirt thinking it was maternity wear, but it turned out to be super-cute. Even if you’re not preggo, just buy the tee in a size smaller than your typical tee. It’s the perfect “slouchy stylish” tee. OH and it’s really long so it will cover your butt when you’re wearing yoga pants!)
  4. Restoration Hardware, Luxury Plush Slippers (Best slippers EVER.)

$50 Fridays: The Skinny Cargo

This idea of a skinny cargo sounded absolutely dreadful to me to be honest. Let me clarify: a skinny pant with large chunky pockets drawing attention to my already not so slender thighs, no thanks. Well, I decided to give them a whirl and by all accounts I was dead wrong. I did go up a size as to not look quite so stuffed sausage, but they are as cute as can be. The casual cool of a cargo pant with the sleekness of a skinny pant. I’m sold.

  1. Target, Odell Ballet Flats
  2. Old Navy, Skinny Cargos
  3. Old Navy, Perfect Fit Tee
  4. Charlotte Russe, Single Gem Hinge Bracelet
  5. Forever21, Open Knitted Cardigan

Nudist

Nude shoes are all the rage. These babies go with anything and add a modern touch to any outfit. I can’t get enough of them… it’s borderline an obsession. Are you rocking some nudies on your feet?

  1. Charlotte Russe, Floral Peep Toe Booties
  2. DSW, Diba Din Go Wedge Sandal
  3. DSW, Kelsi by Kelsi Dagger Carmella Wedge
  4. Target, Vivianna Platform Pumps
  5. Endless, Ankle Strap Sandal
  6. Payless, Hotty Peep Toe

Maternity 2.0

I wish people would tell you that you will essentially have 2 maternity wardrobes, and I’m currently on 2.0. I guess this may not be true for everyone, but I will tell you that I woke up one morning and over half of my maternity wear had turned to crop tops! This may be because I have a really long torso and it may also be because I am carrying this baby ALL out front…either way, I had an excuse to pick up these cute duds!

  1. Target, Maternity V-Neck Ruched Side Fashion Top
  2. Target, Maternity Long-Sleeve V-Neck Knit Top
  3. Gap, Ruffle henley placket
  4. Old Navy, Maternity ruffle-trim jersey tunic
  5. Gap, Cowlneck blouson top
  6. A Pea in the Pod, 3/4 sleeve rib-knit maternity sweater
  7. Gap, Textured single-button cardigan

Living the Dolce Vita

We love Dolce Vita for their sleek and fashionable sandals. We have even written about them here and here. Well, it turns out that they are one of the latest designers to come to your local Target! When I spotted these chunky platforms, I just KNEW I had to have some… though I have no clue where I would wear them. I need them nonetheless. Ya feel me?

  1. Cork Wedge Sandals
  2. Rope Wedge Sandals
  3. Sliver Wedge Sandals

I Love Lamp

This started out with me looking for a lamp for the nursery and then I got distracted.  I’ll let you decide which lamps are options for which.  As a side note, if you are a One Kings Lane subscriber and you remember a couple weeks back the sale on lamps, specifically the chevron pattern table lamp, I would be ever so grateful if you would leave me a comment and tell me the brand because I can’t for the life of me remember and I NEED two for my living room.  Thanks!

  1. Owl Lamp, Target
  2. Devo Round Table Lamp, Walmart
  3. Woodland Lamp, Serena & Lily
  4. Mack with the Blue Cord Table Lamp, Crate & Barrel
  5. Jonathan Adler Giraffe Lamp, misomod
  6. Boka Persimmon Table Lamp, Crate & Barrel

Splendid Littles, Definitely Splendid

Have you seen this new line at Target, Splendid Littles?  It’s turbo cute and right up my alley what with all the stripes.  I personally couldn’t help myself and picked up the little onesies, top left.  Love them!

Fabulous Footwear Friday

I have long been searching for some rainboots to add to my collection of shoes. I have some rain cowboy boots that I thought were pretty badass, until I saw these beauts.

Suddenly Skinny

While a lot of my baby weight has come off by now, things just aren’t in the same place as they used to be. Melis and I ran across these tanks at Target and they are just the ticket to smooth out that post baby or post holiday muffin top.

Get The Stink Out

We have a Diaper Champ in my son’s room and while it’s great to have it as an enclosed trash can in his room, I don’t think its ever worked on the stink. So we’ve always taken poopy diapers outside or used these (which are great by the way). However I ran across these Arm & Hammer Nursery Fresheners at Target the other day and thought I’d give them a whirl. Has anybody seen/tried these? I just threw one in the bottom of the Diaper Champ and we’ll see how it goes!
