While browsing though the DSW clearance the other day, I ran across these cuties. Love the booties, and I think they would be super-cute and fun for holiday parties…you could do them with a dress, tights, or skinny jeans!

You know the saying, “Go Local”. That’s a term that I’ve been trying more and more to incorporate into my life. Stopping at local farmers markets, buying locally-constructed furniture, etc. My BFF works for the Texas Department of Agriculture, and this department has started a great movement called Go Texan, where local, Texas-made, companies can come together and consumers can easily identify them. Go Texan has put together a great Holiday Gift Guide 2010 that you should check out for ideas. (The link is a PDF that may take a couple minutes to open)

Boots I’m Rockin’ this Winter

As you know from previous posts, I’m obsessed with boots this winter. Which is weird if you consider I probably won’t be able to get my feet into them come January.Anyway, I’ve managed to acquire several new pairs since last Spring and I have to share what I’m rockin’ right now. (Don’t worry, I didn’t pay this much for ANY of the boots you see here…I got AWESOME deals…you know, the kind of deals that make you tell everyone and their dog how much you actually spent.)
The Many CMA Looks of CU

I typically always watch award shows. Not so much for the awards, but more for the “whose wearing what” factor. The CMA’s have become one of my favorite shows because a) I love country music and b) I love it when Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley host it! Carrie Underwood goes through a bagillion dress changes throughout the show, and I have to say, she looked fabulous!!!! Here are her many looks of the 2010 CMA’s:

Totally Awesome Cleaning Product

No seriously, the name of this product is Awesome, and it couldn’t be a more fitting name! My Aunt discovered this product at her local dollar store and swore by it…so when I encountered a tough stain on my carpet, I decided to try it out…I was shocked at how quickly it worked! And this isn’t just for carpet, it’s an all-purpose cleaner that I’ve used on clothes (ink spots in particular) and to get a grease stain off the floor of our garage!
This product is a MUST have for sure.
Hump Day Happy Hour: Baby Blue Whiskey

Baby Blue Whiskey is made by the Balcones distillery right here in the great state of Texas. I’ve never tried this whiskey, but since my hubby likes to drink whiskey in the winter time, I might have to grab him a bottle to try!
