Winter Bumps

I finally did it, over the weekend, I had to break down and buy some maternity jeans! (I will admit that they are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever put on.)

Buying the jeans got me browsing the interwebs and looking at my options for the new winter wardrobe I’m getting closer and closer to having to purchase…

  5. Love 21, 5-Pocket Maternity Jeggings (I’m wondering If I can pull these off!?!?)
  6. Motherhood, Elbow Sleeve Tab Cuff maternity Tunic
  7. Motherhood, Long Sleeve Open Front Maternity Cardigan (I love this whole outfit…It could be my “clubbing” gear…or, you know, when I feel sassy!)

Birthday Wishlist

There are so many things in this world that I would love to have but a) will never buy for myself, and b) could not afford right now even if I did want to buy them. That, my friends, is the beauty of a birthday, and mine is right around the corner. Here are some items that are on my birthday wish list this year…

  1. Macy’s,  Keurig B60 Coffee Maker, Single Serve : This might be one of the greatest kitchen appliance I have ever used. For anybody who drinks a cup or 2 of coffee every day but not a whole pot, this is the perfect gift. No more cleaning a coffee pot. Ever again.
  2. Overstock.com, KitchenAid 5 Speed Blender : Yes I want a blender for my birthday. And yes, it has to be this color.
  3. Victoria’s Secret, Motorcycle Jacket : I love this jacket. Every time I get a Victoria’s Secret catalog in the mail I drool over it.
  4. Old Navy, Women’s Sliver Wedge Boots: I really want some tall, flat boots in this camel color for the fall, and these are super cute without a super high price tag.
  5. Amazon, Mikasa Cheers Too 16-ounce White Wine Glasses :  I got the original Mikasa Cheers white wine glasses as a graduation gift and would love to have the full set.
  6. Target, Sex and the City 2 I loved the show and I love this movie. It was even better than the last one. I have the entire series on DVD as well as the first movie, so I need to complete my collection 🙂
  7. Amazon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse : Although it is not available yet, I am holding out hope it will be here by my birthday. I am a Twi-hard, what can I say.
  8. Target, Tom Tom XL 340T GPS : I will be the first to admit that my sense of direction sucks. When I eventually leave the small college town I currently live in, a GPS for my car will be a must have.
  9. Reebok,  RunTone Action Shoes : I just recently started running and I really want a pair of these shoes.  Who doesn’t want their butt to look better?
  10. Direct From Mexico, Large Thick Talavera Cross : a) I love all things Mexican (especially food and decor), and b) I collect crosses

Melis’ Make Believe Shopping

I’m Melis, one and only sister of Der (who is currently on blog maternity leave). I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of characters here at Tipsy Society and thought I would let y’all in on a little bit about me.

I’m a 20 something grad student at the superly awesome Texas A&M University working on joining the real working world within the next year (hopefully, depending on how tipsy I get). I am a proud dog mom to a speckled weiner, named Lily. She’s my half blind handicapable dogchild and I’m sure you will hear lots more about her during my stint here.

The other thing that I need to admit is that I am a true to the game make believe shopper. I place items in my online cart with no intention of ever buying them; it’s practice shopping for when I have a real job with a real paycheck. I have been a broke college student for 5+ years now so it’s honestly just a survival technique at this point.

Never a Team Player

I must admit I have never played on a legit sports team in my life… I once did a very brief stint in my childhood as a fill-in outfielder for a  softball team and quickly realized I was much better suited for dancing and gymnastics. In fact, my jersey that day was number 00, which happened to be very well suited for my performance. This doesn’t keep me from enjoying the baseball uniform look of a raglan tee, in fact I love them. InVESTED

I have always been a clotheshorse. I love to bargain shop and love reinventing my old clothes with new pieces, etc. Being pregnant has thrown a wrench in that habit somewhat, but honestly it just makes me more creative.. looking for pieces that will allow for a baby bump. These flowy vests are EVERYWHERE. I haven’t yet purchased one of these, but I see some room for a bulging baby between that flowiness… don’t you?

Rad Plaid

With school starting soon, I get to thinking of plaid. I guess it’s the school uniform skirts, maybe.
